Social Innovation

Two years of permanent evolution

When we made the decision to create Cívica, we were convinced that it was going to be a permanent learning experience and that our ability to adapt was going to be tested on a daily basis. Each process has been an invitation to relearn and reinvent ourselves, honoring each of the counterparts who have trusted us to accompany their processes.

This range of experiences has spanned from strengthening the financial sustainability of community organizations throughout the country, redefining political advocacy in contexts of uncertainty, contributing to digital transformation processes, mobilizing the use of data for decision-making, to facilitating unlikely dialogues between actors who usually do not allow themselves to meet and create joint solutions.

In these two years, we not only managed to consolidate our position with more than 20 clients, but we also brought civic design to more than 500 people, becoming the first consulting firm in Central America and the Caribbean specializing in this approach.

And it is precisely at one of the best moments for our organization that we have decided to embrace change once again and put into practice one of the principles we have embraced since our founding: continuous improvement. This translates into giving our beloved Eli the opportunity to assume the executive direction, which will allow us to take civic design to the next level, guaranteeing the quality and power of each of our processes.

I cannot help but express my deepest gratitude to each and every person who has been part of our team, and to each of the counterparts who have trusted us to transform realities through collective intelligence. I take with me the commitment to continue bringing the spirit of Cívica to every corner and opportunity to change this reality that makes us feel that we are fewer, those of us who believe that new worlds are possible.

The best is always yet to come!
