Strategic Alliances and Creative Advocacy

We design advocacy and communication strategies that mobilize agendas. To connect sectors and generate real impact

What does it consist of?

Strategic alliances and creative political advocacy are the practice of designing public change from multiple sides at once. We do much more than just lobbying strategies for a sector; we identify the actors who can move an agenda and connect them around a common purpose, building the narratives and agreements that make possible what previously seemed blocked.

At Cívica, we design disruptive advocacy pathways and provide advisory services in public affairs to organizations that are trying to mobilize complex agendas: regulatory reforms, sectoral transformations, stalled public policies, and regional agreements that require multi-sectoral consensus. We combine political analysis, stakeholder mapping, strategic communication, narrative building, and facilitation of collaborative processes.

We work with public institutions, companies, international organizations, and civil society organizations in Central America, the Caribbean, and the rest of the world based on a methodological conviction: no complex agenda moves from a single sector. Public change is designed through alliances, recognizing all forms of knowledge and strengthening collaborations.

When do you need it?

This service is for your organization if you identify with any of these situations:

  • The agenda is stalled. You have been trying to make a change for some time: regulatory, policy, sectorial, budgetary; and despite all your efforts, the conversation is not moving forward.

  • The message is not connecting. Your cause is legitimate, the data is on your side, but the decision-makers are not budging. What is missing is the narrative, not the arguments.

  • The actors are not speaking to each other. The change you are seeking requires coordination among sectors that rarely meet: government, private sector, civil society, academia, international organizations. And no one has built the bridges.

  • They want to influence, but they do not want to do traditional lobbying. They are looking for a way to mobilize agendas that is methodologically rigorous, ethically sustainable, and creatively powerful; not a conventional pressure operation.

  • They have a public stance to defend or an uncomfortable conversation to have. They need strategic clarity on what to say, to whom, when, and how to build consensus around their proposal.
